“The Nutcracker”
Music by Pyotr Tchaikovsky
Choreography by Tatiana Petrova and Vladislav Kuramshin
(with fragments of choreography by V. Vaynonen)
The ballet "Nutcracker" is created by the great Russian composer Peter I. Tchaikovsky and was staged for the first time in the XIX century by the glorified ballet master Marius Petipa. In the new stage edition of “Choreographic Miniatures” theater and “Vladislav Kuramshin Russian Ballet Academy”, this performance which became classics long time ago began to sound brightly, vividly, and fascinating.
Young students of the school of Vladislav Kuramshin, many of whom are the winners and laureates of International ballet competitions, dance in this performance with such inspiration and technical skills! The best ballet troupes of the world would envy! In the new edition of the ballet, a new character appeared – the fantastic Fairy who helped main character Masha to remove a spell from the Prince-Nutcracker.
The Choreography and staging are by Tatiana Petrova and Vladislav Kuramshin (with the use of choreography of Vassily Vaynonen). The performance was shown on tours in Spain and Africa, as well as its motifs underlay the movie-ballet. The last update of the ballet was presented to the St.-Petersburg audience in December, 2011.
